The Submarine Museum is housed in a real submarine called INS Kurusera at RK Beach. It is a one of its kind in Asia and the second in the world. INS Kusura was built by the Russians on Dec 18th 1969.
The length of Submarine is 91.3 meters and the breadth is 8.00 meters. It began its journey on Feb 20, 1970 via the Baltic Sea and reached Visakhapatnam on the 11th of May, 1970. Since then INS Kurusera has been part of the Indian Navy. The Museum is open to public from 9 AM to 9 PM everyday.
